Jasmine Wilson, lpc
I became a therapist because I have a deep passion for helping others feel seen, understood, and supported during some of the most challenging moments in their lives. I believe that everyone deserves a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. This work aligns with my values of compassion, empathy, and advocacy, and I find purpose in contributing to the emotional well-being of others in a way that is both impactful and lasting.
The types of clients I most enjoy providing treatment for are teens and young adults. Treating this clientele provides me the opportunity to demonstrate a deep empathy for the journey of self-discovery, the pursuit of purpose, and the unique obstacles that accompany that path. I am drawn to working with issues like anxiety, depression, anger, bipolar, grief, and trauma because these challenges can deeply impact a person’s sense of self, relationships, and overall quality of life. Supporting clients through these experiences allows me to help them better understand their emotions, develop healthier coping strategies, and regain a sense of control and stability.
I have gained my clinical expertise through earning a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Concordia University. I completed my internship at Arden Shore Child and Family Services and later worked as a Licensed Professional Counselor at The Josselyn Center for two years. In addition to my work as a therapist, I cherish being a wife and mother. I’m also a person who enjoys films like Jurassic Park and Get Out. I also appreciate going on family vacations and spending time dining with friends and family.
